Fort Collins, CO- The Colorado
Ice Indoor Football team announced on Wednesday, January 21st that
former Colorado State University (CSU) star QB and Miami Dolphins
rookie Justin Holland has signed with the Colorado Ice for the 2009
season.
The 6’3” 213 lb QB had an
outstanding football career with CSU, finishing his 2005 senior
season throwing for 3,185 yards and 23 touchdowns, while boasting a
completion rate of over 63 percent. Holland’s
143.44 passing efficiency rating was sixth in the nation amongst all
2006 NFL draft-eligible quarterbacks, garnering him an invite to
play in the Las Vegas All-Star Classic. Holland completed his CSU
career holding the 5th highest passing yards total in CSU history
and the Poinsettia Bowl records for Most Passing Yards, Most
Completions, and Most Touchdown Passes. In 2006 Holland attended
training camp with the Miami Dolphins of the NFL, before going on to
play for the CFL’s Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Holland grew up in
Lakewood, CO and attended Bear Creek High School where he set the
Colorado State High School record for passing yards and was a Parade
All-American and Gatorade Player of the Year.

Colorado and to play for the Colorado Ice. The Northern Colorado
community has always been a huge support system for me and has
followed my career closely. I look forward to suiting up in an Ice
jersey and joining the highly-talented Ice roster,” stated Holland.

team is conducting their second open combine-style tryout for the
2009 season on Sunday, January 25th, 2009 from 11am-2pm at Fort
Collins Indoor Soccer Club at OD’s Sports Crossing in Fort Collins,

Indoor Football League (IFL). All home games are played at the
Budweiser Events Center located in Loveland, Colorado. Single,

ticket packages start at just $120 per seat and include all parking,
