Fort Collins is located 60 miles North of Denver
along the I-25 corridor. The Ft Collins 2000 census stated a population of 118,848. The
estimate in 2002 by the city was 126,848 so now conservative estimates are
approximately 130,000. Ft Collins is the center of Larimer County. Larimer
County had a population of 251,000 in 2000. Conservative estimates are now
over 300,000. These figures change on a weekly basis as Fort Collins and the entire Northern
Colorado area is one of the fastest growing areas in America. Fort
Collins' growth area has long been a bone of contention between growth
advocates and no growth advocates.
Therefore the areas just outside Fort Collins like
Timnath, Wellington, Windsor and the rural areas as far east as Eaton
Colorado have also experienced large growth and population spurts.

Fort Collins was once again voted one of the best cities in which to
live. Voted by Money Magazine, Fort Collins Colorado dropped from first
to second in 2008. This year Plymouth MN became the number one
best place to live.
The to top things mention was old town Fort Collins
with all of it's micro brewers, restaurants and specialty stores in a
great well kept environment. Also mentioned was all of the technology
companies with plants or offices here. Of course always one of the top
reasons Fort Collins is so high is this is the home of Colorado State
University. One of the best things about Fort Collins
that is always mention is our great health care and hospital that are
available from Poudre Valley Health Care and Banner Health. Poudre
Valley just recently built a new hospital Rocky Mountain and will build
a new cancer center shortly. |
